Windows and doors

All buildings come complete with precision-cut clear acrylic windows, self-adhesive window frames, and doors with optional door panel inserts, tailored to each building's style. These components are designed to fit seamlessly into the designated recesses.

To enhance the appearance of the window recess, you can either paint it grey or print and paste curtains or blinds before inserting the window pane. Secure the window by placing a small dot of clear-drying glue in each corner. Then, carefully peel the backing from the window frame and position it in the recess, ensuring the sticky side is facing down.

Certain windows feature a sash style, which includes an upper section that adheres to the top of the main window.

The door panels feature a self-adhesive backing, allowing for a perfect fit within the door recesses. This design enables you to achieve contrasting-colored door panels without the hassle of messy paint overlaps, resulting in a clean and polished finish while saving you time.

Buildings on Stumps

Buildings elevated on stumps are printed with a foundation that ensures stability and security during shipping. This foundation also provides a convenient grip while painting. Once you've finished painting your model, carefully detach the foundation by snipping it away, much like removing a model from its sprues.

 Building Base

Buildings that replicate brick or stone are printed with a 9mm extension on the bottom.  This allows you to set the building into a recess and have the footpath or road come right up to the building eliminating unsightly gaps under the building.  If you just want to sit the building on you layout there will a step up into the buildings

Paint Preparation

There is no need to wash the buildings before painting.  You can use a primer if you want but paint will adhere directly to the printed model.  Personally, we use a primer.  Either Vallejo surface primer applied with an airbrush, Vallejo Model Paint in an aerosol can or Motospray Flexi Prime Plastic Primer which is clear and very fast drying.
